Built By People Who've Been There
TakeChrg exists because we needed it first.
Our Mission
To help people take charge of their day through simple, gentle daily routines— especially when taking charge feels impossible.
We believe that mental wellness tools should be:
Accessible
Free for everyone who needs them
Simple
Easy to use, especially on hard days
Gentle
Supportive, never judgmental
Why We Built This
There was a time when getting out of bed felt like the hardest thing in the world. When the gap between where we were and where we "should" be felt impossibly wide. When every productivity app, every life hack, every well-meaning piece of advice just made things worse.
We searched for something simple. Something that wouldn't judge us for having a bad day. Something that understood that sometimes "success" means brushing your teeth before noon.
We couldn't find it. So we built it.
TakeChrg started as a personal project—a tool to help ourselves through the hardest days. When we shared it with friends who were struggling, they asked if they could use it too. Then their friends asked. Then strangers on the internet.
That's when we realized: we weren't the only ones who needed something like this.
"The world doesn't need another productivity app. It needs more gentleness."
What We Believe
Small Steps Are Real Steps
Getting out of bed counts. Drinking water counts. Every small action is worthy of acknowledgment.
Bad Days Don't Erase Progress
One hard day doesn't undo all your effort. Progress isn't a straight line, and that's perfectly okay.
Gentleness Over Pressure
Shame has never motivated anyone to lasting change. Gentle encouragement and self-compassion do.
Accessibility Matters
We believe everyone deserves access to tools that can help them, regardless of their financial situation. That's why TakeChrg is free.
You Know What You Need
We're not here to tell you how to live your life. We're here to support your journey, however you choose to walk it.
Important Note
TakeChrg is a tool, not a treatment. While daily routines can support mental wellness, they're not a substitute for professional help.
If you're struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, or other mental health challenges, please consider reaching out to a mental health professional. There's no shame in getting help—in fact, it's one of the bravest things you can do.
